I Want To Be A Nurse In Houston But I Don’t Have A Valid Working Permit And I Am Not A Certified Nurse….

I heard there is a program in Houston for people who are not Certified Nurses and who do not have a US valid work permit,in which a person study and work at the same time and in which after fulfillment of the program, they start the process to sponsor that person for a work visa.
Is this true? Has anybody know anything about it??

The University of Texas has a very good school of nursing at Houston. But you have to complete the education to work. You don’t need a work permit to study, but you need a student visa. You didn’t mention your status here, if you are holding a dependent visa of your parent or spouse working visa, you may not need a student visa to study.

I haven’t heard anything about it. Have you tried calling Human Resources at local hospitals they may have heard of the program and could point you in the right direction.

What I know that if you are studying in USA, you can also do the intership there. But working and studying at the same time, I really don’t know. Why don’t you search nurse school in houston (by browsing the web) and find out whether they could help you in sponsoring their student to have working visa. What I know that they once try to find a certified nurse to be place in US. Sorry…
