    Starting salary (for new graduates) from 31 March 2009 is NZ$44,562 annually for registred nurses and registered midwives working in public hospitals. I’m not sure what this translates to monthly or hourly. But, check out the current Nursing and Midwifery Multi-Employer Collective Agreement (MECA) at the first link below – the full range of salaries are listed in the MECA. The second link is to information for overseas nurses and midwives wanting to work in New Zealand.
