Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs. Risk assessmnet is ensuring a safe enviornment - one of the lower needs (you will see on the chart). This theory can be interlinked with human growth, self esteem and so on. When all needs have been reached, a person has reached their full potential. This can be incorporated into social care - of the patients/service users and even staff.
You can discuss each need as you relate to this theory. Is basic to the principles of care.
