In my opinion these are the 7 major problems that the United States currently faces.
A)Al-Qaeda & other Islamic terrorists
B)America’s reliance on Arab oil
C)Finding an exit strategy for the Iraq war
D)Iran’s nuclear program
E)Massive illegal immigration
F)US health care system
G)US trade deficit with China

3. The 4 wars we are in - Iraq, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Haiti.
4. The 786 military bases we have around the world
5. A 1Trillon military budget.
6. The Pentagon and its influence on politics
7. 10 Trillion National Debt
8. Obessesion with war mongering

You have the right answers, but I put them in a different order. It doesn’t mean you have them listed wrong, I just took a different look at things. Doesn’t me I am right or wrong just my idea.
A) Massive illegal immigration; Until we have Real control of our Ports and ALL Borders, I don’t think we need to worry about any attacks; because they will more than likely if they want to attack us again they will. SECURE OUR Borders & Ports and then worry about another attack. Seems like our country has everything _ _ _ backwards!
B) US health care system; Until we get that straightend out we will still have more sick people each day. That new germ we have floating around today that they are calling the Super Germ is a real problem. I don’t know if you have been keeping track of it or not, but I watched C-SPAN over the weekend and Brintan is building wards or they are talking about it to isolate the people that have it. I think they waited to late. If we don’t have healthy Americans; why worry about an attack because would not have the people to help out in any kind of strike.
C) Finding an exit stratery for the Iraq War; at some point we have to get out of there before all of our troops decide to start ditching their carrers. You and I know those men and women are getting tired of pulling three and four tours. Even a second tour is bad. I am not saying they are not doing a good job, I just know it gets old going to the same part of the world all the time. I know because 2 tours in the Nam and 18 mo. in Okinwa that sucked. That is one of the reasons my military carrer went to heck. Maybe this one should be A because we need troops here at home. Everyone in the world knows that and something has to be done.
D) Iran’s nuclear program; Myself I have put Yahoo Alert on Necular aresainal & Necular weapons. I have aprox. 6 Alerts to check out and maybe more by now. I don’t worry about that they will be there when I ran out of questions to answer. It is more important to me to try and help anyone who really has important questions that need answers. People might not like some of my opinons but they are mine, just trying to help. VP Cheney is on C-SPAN he said he has been called worse than Darth Vader it doesn’t bother him to called that. Back to the answer. The world I hope like China and other countries don’t want the Nukes in Iran. It remains to be seen what happens. The U.S. and the rest of the World can’t stand by and let them get Nukes if they don’t have them already. I am concered also because I was an AMMO TROOP in the U.S.A.F. Working in a bomb dump gives me an idea of what that can do. I am not saying I am afraid of Iran, but we do need to know what is going on and how can we fix it.
E) Al-Qaeda & other Islamic terrorists along with the so called home terrorists. After the borders of the U.S. under our control the way they are supposed to be then we can start traking down people that might do us harm. There is not much more I can say on this subject. V.P. says they are HELL BENT on attacking us again and we already know that since 09/11/2001.
F) America’s reliance on Arab oil; That one is a real winner I must admit. It is not just the U.S. but the rest of the world. We if I am right Chavez has Citco but I am not sure. I don’t belive that our country is that short on oil. It is just how much do the oil companys here want to be willing to drill for oil. I am tired of the BS the oil companies keep feeding us. Look at our refiners they should have be redone or new ones built a long time ago like when we had a so called oil shortages in 1972 & 1973 I knew the it was BS because when I was stationed in Calf. I worked part time at a Station out there for extra cash. The owner knew it and so did I we were really tickedoff about the whole mess. The poor man had to shut down because he wasn’t getting enough gas to stay open. The poor man died shortly after that, I guess it was to much on him because he had no other income and too young to get SS benifts.
G) US trade deficit with China; That One really gets my goat even though I don’t have a goat and would not have one, they stink worse than a skuck. China has bought plants out here in America. It is kind of Heart Breaking. What is wrong with Washington and I am not talking about the President it is Congress they are the ones really letting things like that happen. I did get a surprise about China though yesterday. American’s are supposed to help China in about 3 weeks to disarm their Nuke program. If I beleive in that George Straght has some Ocean Front Property in Arizona to sell me. HA! HA! HA! I guess that is about it on this one. I don’t know the answer but this country buys so much from China so I don’t think China is really worried about it right now.

15 years ago i made 5.10 an hour and had an apartment financed a used truck and was able to survive….
now these kids are making 8 an hour and can not even afford rent much less electric, water, or a car… so they are packing into hotels because it is cheaper

The sorry state of public education, if we don’t educate our children today there will be no United States around in the long term to worry about.
I think the biggest problem is here at home, with what will happen to the economy if Hitlery is elected!
I would add:
Spending 4.5% of GDP on NATO while the rest of the members spend only 2.5%.
The NATO members are all, with the possible exception of England, considering cutting back to an even lower number.
The US role as international policeman, as well as NATO, is now obsolete.
We are alone.
While we are in 300 countries with about 700 bases, we are twisting in the wind by oursleves.
Democracy is being rejected world wide.
We can not fight them all by ourselves.
If we don’t isolate and protect ourselves there by getting our so-called allies to participate at a higher level, we will be in much greater trouble than what we could ever realize over illegal immigration.

Bring home all US troops from everywhere - Total exit
Re-invest military spending in alternative fuels and Health Care. Been done already in Brazil and Costa Rica Covers B and F.

With no troops in Arab or Theocratic countries, Al-Queda will not meet it’s recruiting goals.
Absolutely the state of healthcare. Any U.S citizen who hasn’t seen Sicko owes it to themselves to get informed as to the true origins of the abominable system of healthcare in your country and to ensure that whoever is elected to office in the future does so on a platform of healthcare reform with an aim of a free public system. A nation is only as strong as the way in which it treats the weakest of its citizens and to see 9/11 rescue workers have to travel to Cuba in order to have 9/11 related health issues affordably treated (free) speaks volumes for the contempt with which the government views the average U.S citizen. The private system was actually begun by Nixon with the full understanding that the aim of private healthcare is to minimize treatment to the patient in order to maximise profits (the scene in Sicko where an actual audio recording of the meeting Nixon held with senior advisers where it was decided to turn private health companies loose upon U.S citizens is truly chilling in the cold and callous nature of Nixons knowledge that patients will suffer and die under a system designed to minimize care and maximise profits. The C.E.O of Kaiser Permenente is/was a good friend of Nixon) You owe it to yourselves Americans, to fight for free healthcare because noone else is going to give it to you.
While all that you mention are certainly problems, I see a greater one as a more direct threat to America. That being liberalism which leads to socialism which leads to mediocrity which results in third world statue for all of us.
