“Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington on Tuesday limited employee health care benefits to avoid coverage of same-sex couples. It was the second time Catholic Charities changed its rules to protest same-sex marriage, having earlier ended its foster care program.”
So, the Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington has stopped caring for needy foster children, and stopped providing some health care benefits to some of their employees as a protest to same-sex marriage in the state of Washington. Is This Something I Should Worry About W. My Boyfriend?
My boyfriend and I have a different but healthy relationship. We’re nearing our mid 20′s w. our own goals and interests still in tact. I’m in school almost in my healthcare major and my schedule is usually busy. He works full time at a well known company M-F. We’re both very independent and individual people – we have few times we’ll see each other (not everyday) BUT we’ll talk to each other every night when he gets home. He still has his thing and mine and in the middle, we’ll meet and compromise.
Keep in the mind, we just recently got together, I got to know him at the end of last year and just made it official. We’ve always been comfortable towards each other and it seems like this whole “thing” has been such a long time. When we were “talking”, I was willing to hang out and meet his friends and their get-togethers after studying long hours on weekends. They’re great guys but overall, not people i would hang out with on my own but I do like them. (esp. the girls lol). My best friends are in nursing school (all 3 of them). 1 happens to know him well so i kept her updated and the other 2, I waited ’til the quarter was over to tell them. My friend is so last minute and wanted all of us to get drinks one night. My bf and i had plans for early dinner and that was it. I told him I would go w. him and that my friend wanted to meet for drinks later that night. Later on, he sounded like he was being tempted to do this own thing. While we were making plans, he kept saying, “oh this sounds like a girl thing…do you really need me there?” i KNEW all of his close friends had no particular plans except play their new video game (augh) LOL I told him my friend wanted to meet him but I just gave up. “SHOULDN’T HE WANT TO MEET THE OTHER 2? I DID W. HIS FRIENDS”, I thought. Luckily my friend’s bf (his cousin) called and convinved him and we all went. He got along w. them great, my friends approved but I feel like he was just “there”. His excuse earlier to the guys was that he was spending money for his mom (to give) and another amount for a family event, which makes sense but I wanted him there….is this something I should be concerned about???
Should The Us Adopt Mexico’s Immigration Laws?
Mexican Immigration laws:

What’s Best For My Romanian Bf?
okay..i would like to know what’s the best way for my romanian bf to stay in UK. Somehow he needs to work to be able to sustain his stay. We don’t want to go apart although we are in our early 20′s I know well that marriage is not the answer. It’s not possible either as I am foreign as well doing my adaptation to be a Registered Nurse here. I’ve been reading the UK boarder site and I found some options. But I guess to obtain a work permit will be a hard go as he got to have an employer to sponsor him. My bf is not a high skilled worker, that’s why I doubt he will get a sponsor. Or I’m thinking if he can enroll for a course. If so, does he need to apply for student visa in romania or he can enroll here? With this at least he can legally work 20 hours. The study thing is our last option. Is there any work for him where he can possibly obtain a work permit. To be honest I find this Romanian & Bulgarian exemption very disgusting & discriminatory. They don’t differ from Polish, Albanians, etc. Why the government gave them a stupid label? Thanks a lot. I love my bf very much and he is a good romanian guy. He NEVER asked me for anything, I know this is what people think about romanians.
Can I Get Into Ohio State University?
These are facts about me:
1) GPA: 3.48 (unweighted) and 3.91 (weighted)
2) I go to fairly competitive high school (ranked 4th in Ohio)
3) ExtraCurriculars: Nationl Honor Soceity, Model United Nations, Senior Sibs, Science Olympiad, Science Fair (freshman Yr), volunteering at local hospital in the nursing unit, on the Teen Bord at local public library, volunteering at the ATP Tournment every summer.
4) I have taken AP US History and got a 3 on the exam. I’m a junior, and i’m taking the AP exam for Biology, Statistics and Euro History and I plan on getting (hopefully hahaa) a 4 or a 5 on all.
5)Don’t plan on taking the SAT, just the ACT…i got a 25 (with no studying) in december, but i’m taking it again in June and I plan to get 30 or higher.
So, what do you guys think are my chances of getting into Ohio State University?!

How Long Does A Urgent Nhs Dental Referral To Hospital Take ?
im getting a tooth removed , my dentist wont touch it ! he says if he tried to pull it it would split and he doesnt have the Equipment to do it ! so he’s done a urgent referral to the hospital for them to remove it ! does anyone know how long this usually takes ? this tooth is driving my crazy , i feel like trying to take it out myself

Should Obese Individuals Be Denied Healthcare Under Reform Unless Enrolled In An Exercise And Diet Program?
So according to research..
“Medical Problems – Less than 2 percent of all cases of obesity can be traced to a metabolic disorder, such as low thyroid function or hormonal imbalances.”
That means the 98% of the obese in this country have no excuses other then they eat more then they should and are too lazy to exercise to stay in shape. So, us as taxpayers are basically paying extra because these people refuse to take care of themselves. We will have to foot the bill when they are hospitalized because they decided to eat themselves into a heart attack, diabetes, or any other medical condition that arises from being grossly overweight.
I find it hard to believe this 98% of obese citizens cannot find thirty minutes a day to do any form of cardiovascular exercise when they spend more then that most likely while overeating.
So, my question is. Should the obese citizens of America be forced to enroll themselves in an exercise and diet plan in order to be covered under the benefits of this new health care reform? The cost of this exercising and dieting plan will be much, much less then the costs pertaining to hospital visits and surgery because of obesity related illness.
As someone who takes care of himself and watches what he eats, I find it absurd that I will have to pay my hard earned money to fund the medical costs of extremely high risk individuals who refuse to change their destructive behavior.
Would you want to pay the medical bills of someone who knowingly shoots themselves? There is very little difference between these individuals, except the obese of our nation cost much more over the course of a lifetime due to multiple, if not dozens, of hospital visits because of their poor health and habits.
I believe by making them enroll in some type of exercise program, not only would their quality of life improve, many of the potentially life threatening results of obesity would be prevented.

How Long Do You Have To Be Employed With The Nhs Before You Can Get Maternity Pay?
I have just been employed by the NHS, I am just waiting for a CRB clearance, so I havent signed a contract yet, I am nine weeks pregnant and scared to tell them just incase they tke the job from me, also will I be entitled to any maternity pay, does anyone know how long you have to work for the NHS before you will be entitled to any maternity pay????
